The Baltimore Chapter of Black Women Of Essence, Inc. (BWOE) is the NEW Headquarters for BWOE. This Chapter was created in May 2010 and comprised of members throughout the Baltimore, MD and surrounding areas. (North East Baltimore, White Marsh and Columbia, Maryland).
BWOE recently moved (April 2010) its national headquarters to Baltimore, Maryland and launched a Baltimore Chapter. The Chapter currently has 6 members and is very active in the BMore community. BWOE BMore meets once a month for strategic planning and participates in various community projects monthly; most recently BWOE BMore prepared and served food at My Sister's Place for 72 homeless women in downtown Baltimore and also drove down to DC to help prepare a Domestic Violence Center Shelter (DASH) for its grand opening by decorating rooms and the shelter. BWOE BMore's latest project is launching the 3rd chapter of the BWOE-FREE Mentor Program here in Baltimore, there are currently two chapters of the program in Central Florida and Philadelphia. As you can see we're very active in the community and although not large in number locally (yet) we're firm believers in quality over quantity and we have a Quality group of phenomenal women who are dedicated to enhancing the quality of life in Baltimore... We're not just a Local Chapter we are a Sisterhood that will empower and encourage other women to pay it forward....
