Home BWOE-F.R.E.E is Black Women of Essence, Inc's Mentor program that the Central Florida Chapter founded on May 1, 2005. F.R.E.E. stands for Focusing on Respect, Excellence, and Empowerment. BWOE - F.R.E.E has opened it's doors in Philadelphia, PA. The Philadelphia Chapter of BWOE-F.R.E.E was founded in August 2007.

Black Women of Essence, Inc. (BWOE) is a Non-Profit 501(c)(3) Women of Color Organization. Our vision is to enhance the quality of life by providing resources, services, education, networking opportunities along with advocacy and promoting self-awareness within our communities. We are committed to improving the quality of life in the following areas: Children's Advocacy (mentoring, literacy and tutoring), HIV/AIDS awareness, Domestic Violence Prevention/Awareness and Breast Cancer Awareness. BWOE was founded in the late spring / early fall of 1999; incorporated In the State of Florida in February 2002 and received 501 (c)(3) tax exempt status from the Internal Revenue Service. BWOE was built on a foundation of Sisterhood that allows us to strengthen, encourage, empower and embrace one another with genuine love. BWOE is comprised of over seventy five women who are from different demographics (professional, social, geographic, age, education, economic, religion and race) but we all share the same visions for empowering each other and improving our communities. We welcome all women regardless of racial background, spiritual beliefs or lifestyles as long as they understand and support our mission. We believe when women improve the quality of their lives, the communities to which they contribute also improve.
